Mr Chairman, Ambassadors, Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen

Over the last 2 days we have witnessed a coming together of leaders from different agencies and the public and private sectors. They are here to support partnerships, PPP's between organizations advocating for prevention and care of infectious diseases, HIV AIDS, TB, Malaria and the increasing threat of Diabetes.

Mr Chairman, distinguished ladies and Gentlemen, the future of healthcare in countries like Ghana is likely to be in the form of PPP's between, National Health Ministries, Hospitals, UN Agencies, NGO's Religious organizations and especially international investors with best practises and skills. The future is National Healthcare partnering international standards and skills similar to those of the members of the Global Business Coalition on HIV AIDS, TB and Malaria, BD, Novo Nordisk, Barclays Bank and Mining companies like Alcan and AngloGold Ashanti.

And in this Ghana's Jubilee year, I think that all of us gathered here today accept that Governments cannot do it alone, neither should they be expected to provide sustainable healthcare by themselves. They will increasingly require contributions from the private sector to develop any sustainable and meaningful health care infrastructure.

I would like to thank you ladies and Gentlemen for your valuable contribution to this event. And I would like to ask that you all continue to support the motions passed today and the broader goals of this meeting, one of which was for a film to be made in Ghana's ethnic languages to promote good practises that could prevent HIV and TB and non-discrimination against sufferers.

March 6 2007 saw Ghana celebrate its 50 th year of independence. It has signalled a turning point in Ghana's history, and like other events earlier in the year, this GBC Corporate Africa Partnerships for Prevention and Cure Health Conference signals that Ghana has matured politically, economically and socially. The country is now a true democracy with the required stability to generate better healthcare and a more prosperous future. And on behalf of the sponsors, BD, Corporate Africa, Barclays, the GBC, and Novo Nordisk; Ladies and Gentlemen we would like to donate the net profits from the proceeds of this event to further the goals that came from the conference. Mr Chairman we present you with a cheque for US$15,000 to support the motions from this event.

Thank you Mr Chairman,

Thank you ladies and Gentlemen
