The Award aims to promote and increase collaborations between the UK and China by providing a platform for developing fruitful business in 2017 and beyond.

Confederation of Chinese Business UK (CCBUK) was established in 1997. The founders of CCBUK including the top ranked UK based Chinese businessmen. CCBUK is a non-profit organisation, to facilitate investments and business between China and United Kingdom. CCBUK has more than 500 members, 25 sub business organisations and 20 branch offices cross over China. In recent years, CCBUK have attracted many young talent members from different sectors of two nations. CCBUK is aiming to becoming a biggest platform and marketplace for UK-China businesses.

2016 was a first year of Golden Age between the UK and China. The UK is the one of the interested countries for promoting China Belt and Road initiative especially on processing of Brexit. The 2017 Award is going to reward the organisations and enterprises whom have made great contribution that relating the Belt & Road Initiative to the China-Oversea investment and business. The Award also aims to promote trade collaboration and development between the UK and China.

There are 8 External categories and 4 CCBUK Internal Categories for the Awards included the Best Infrastructure, Best Investment, Best Real Estate, Best Education; Best Culture and Sport, Best Trade, Best Healthcare, Best Technology, Best Finance and Best Professional Service and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award etc.

Nominated by independent panel for the shortlist including China Railway Logistics, Wanda Group, Shanghai Creation Group, The UK Research and Development Centre for Chinese Traditional Culture (UKCTC) have been revealed. The winners of the CCBUK Awards will be announced on the evening of the 24 November.
